Tomo Travels LLC (“Tomo Travels,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a concierge and lifestyle management company specializing in bespoke, high-end experiences for individuals and groups. We curate and host meaningful journeys across Japan and beyond, designed around cultural immersion, exclusivity, and effortless comfort.

Tomo Travels LLC is a Canadian-registered company headquartered in Ontario, Canada, with expanding operations and representative offices under compliance review in Delaware (USA), Dubai (UAE), Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles (USA), Paris (France), New York (USA), and London (UK).

Tomo Travels does not conduct any regulated travel business, sales, or revenue-generating activities within Japan. All regulated travel components are fulfilled exclusively through licensed Japanese travel agencies in accordance with the Japanese Travel Agency Act (Ryokō Gyōhō) and applicable foreign trade regulations.

Scope of Services

1. Concierge and Experience Design

Tomo Travels provides travel design, cultural hosting, and lifestyle concierge services. We operate as independent consultants, offering:

Personalized itinerary design and curation
Cultural liaison and private hosting
Coordination with vetted and licensed travel agencies in Japan
Dining, entertainment, and exclusive event curation
VIP support, local introductions, and hospitality management

Our services are advisory and hospitality-based, and Tomo Travels does not sell, issue, or operate transportation, accommodation, or package tours.

2. Regulated Travel Services

All regulated travel services — including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, tour operations, and ticketing — are arranged through third-party Japanese travel agencies fully licensed under the Japanese Travel Agency Act.

These partners handle invoicing, insurance, and consumer protection, and are solely responsible for the fulfillment and legal compliance of such arrangements. Tomo Travels collaborates with these partners to ensure an exceptional, fully legal, and seamless travel experience.

International Operations and Legal Jurisdiction

Tomo Travels LLC is registered and governed under the laws of Ontario, Canada, and may conduct concierge and hospitality coordination services through local entities or representative offices in other jurisdictions. Each operates in full compliance with its local legal, tax, and business regulations.

No branch or subsidiary of Tomo Travels conducts regulated travel agency activities in Japan. All regulated transactions occur directly between clients and duly licensed Japanese travel agencies.

Insurance and Liability

Tomo Travels does not provide or underwrite travel, health, or liability insurance. Clients are responsible for securing comprehensive coverage, including travel, medical, and personal effects. Insurance provided by licensed Japanese partners is subject to their terms.

Tomo Travels LLC and its representatives are not liable for any loss, injury, delay, or inconvenience resulting from third-party actions, natural events, or external circumstances.

Payments and Invoicing

Clients receive separate invoices for:

Tomo Travels concierge, hosting, and design services (issued by Tomo Travels LLC)
Regulated travel services (issued by licensed Japanese travel agencies)

This ensures transparency and full compliance across jurisdictions.

Data Protection and Privacy

Tomo Travels complies with GDPR, PIPEDA (Canada), and relevant international privacy laws. Client data is kept strictly confidential and only shared with partners necessary to complete agreed services. Information is never sold or disclosed for marketing purposes.

Cultural Conduct and Code of Respect

Our philosophy, “Tomo” (友) — friendship, respect, and understanding — defines our operations. We expect clients to respect Japanese customs, local laws, and cultural practices. Tomo Travels reserves the right to withdraw services in cases of misconduct or cultural disregard.

Limitation of Responsibility

Tomo Travels LLC is not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party providers, force majeure events, or external disruptions. Our obligation is limited to the provision of concierge, hosting, and design services with professionalism and integrity.

Governing Law

All relationships between clients and Tomo Travels LLC are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, unless otherwise specified in a formal written agreement.

Disclaimer

Tomo Travels LLC is not a licensed travel agency under the Japanese Travel Agency Act. We act solely as a concierge, consultant, and cultural liaison, and do not operate income-generating or travel agency activities within Japan. All regulated services are booked and invoiced by licensed Japanese partners.

Updates and Amendments
